Deoriatal Tungnath is a perfect Winter trek for Beginners

This is a dazzling trek for first-timers because of its forest trails and gorgeous lake.

Tungnath and Chandrashila are just the perfect combo trek with deoriatal. As you hike more up to Chandrashila, all of the major summits can be viewed very closely.

Route from Delhi

Delhi – Rishikesh (night halt)- Sari – Deoriatal (trek and night halt) – Chopta – Trek to Tungnath, Chandrashila & back to chopta– Delhi

Picturesque Hamlet Sari

Sari village is the starting point of the Deoriatal Trek, which is almost a 6 to 7 hours journey from Rishikesh.

Deoriatal trek with a Bang start

Easy to moderate Trek. Gradual hike on a well-defined rocky trail. A short descent to the campsite after two hours of climbing.

Highest Kedar – Tungnath with Chandrashila

Easy Trek. A well-maintained path is there that no guide is needed. Carry Water, juice and chocolate for energy and hydration.

Tungnath temple is the third and highest of the Panch Kedars. The temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva and are based in Uttarakhand.

Who can do this trek?

Anyone can do this trek with average fitness. Make sure you will take medicine  , drink water much and intake sugar when required.

Best Time to visit

Any time of the year can opt for the trek. December to April is good for snow trek & March to May for rhododendron blossoms.
