Their ancestors were born right here. Walking through Almaty feels like flipping pages of history: Soviet-era buildings, modern glass towers, and snow-kissed mountains watching over everything like protective elders. The people? Warm, calm, soft-spoken… the kind who’ll help you even if they don’t speak English. As an Indian, you’ll feel oddly at home — they love Bollywood, and you’ll hear “Shah Rukh Khan?” more times than you expect. The culture is this dreamy mix of nomadic traditions, Russian influence, and Central Asian pride. Food? 🇻🇳✨ What I Ate in Vietnam — and why my heart (and stomach) still can’t move on! It all started with a bowl of pho in Hanoi — steaming hot, rich, and full of love. The kind of soup that feels like a warm hug after a long flight 🥹🍜. Then came the famous banh mi, crispy on the outside, soft inside, stuffed with herbs and flavors that hit just right! 🥖💚 And oh, the Vietnamese coffee… bold, sweet, and so addictive I had at least two cups a day ☕🤎 — iced, condensed, or drip style, it never disappointed. From Hoi An’s Cao Lau noodles to fresh spring rolls and che (that colorful coconut dessert I couldn’t pronounce right 😅), every bite was a new story.
